WWE Star Reveals Drew McIntyre Reached Out Following Prior Release WWE

WWE Raw star Bronson Reed has revealed former World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre reached out following prior release.

On the August 5 edition of Monday Night Raw, Bronson Reed attacked Seth Rollins by delivering six massive Tsunamis. Since then, Reed has seen the biggest push of his two stints in the company in a feud with Braun Strowman on WWE Raw.

This has been the most featured Reed has been on WWE TV following his release from the promotion in August 2021.

In a new interview with Nine.com, Bronson Reed revealed that Drew McIntyre reached out to him following his release. He said:

“Obviously it was very nerve-wracking to begin with. I’m an international here in a different country and the job that you dreamed of gets taken away, so what do you do?”

“Drew actually did message me when it happened and just told me to go out there and kill it and you’ll be back. It took him years before he re-signed with WWE and I was fortunate enough that it was 16 or 18 months that I was gone.”

“In that short amount of time, I made sure to make waves in wrestling. I beat [Kazuchika] Okada in Japan and did great work there and that’s what got me back.”

Drew McIntyre was also released from WWE himself in 2014 before making his return in 2017.

Now, McIntyre is a three-time WWE World Champion and a prominent main event star.

McIntyre will face CM Punk in a Hell In A Cell Match on Saturday, October 5 at WWE Bad Blood 2024.
