WWE’s Drew McIntyre ‘Forbidden Door’ Tease Referenced By TNA Wrestling Stars WWE/TNA Wrestling

With Drew McIntyre seeming to react to Jordynne Grace’s WWE appearance, two TNA Wrestling stars have commented on the ‘forbidden door’ tease.

The current TNA Knockouts World Champion made her return to WWE on this week’s NXT, setting up a match against NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez at Battleground on June 9, 2024.

She had previously appeared as a surprise entrant in the women’s Royal Rumble match on January 27, 2024.

In the wake of the May 28 episode of NXT, Drew McIntyre teased a possible TNA Wrestling appearance, noting that “doors open both ways“.

This caught the attention of TNA Wrestling’s Joe Hendry, who tweeted a photo of himself with a McIntyre cut-out face mask, as can be seen below.

Moose wouldn’t miss the tweet either, responding with a very pointed message of his own directed at McIntyre, tweeting:

“DREW i see where your Title obsession began.

“If this is something you truly want, have your Boss call my Boss.

“The outcome will be the same #TrustTheSystem #TheSystem”

The tweet was accompanied by a photo of Moose celebrating a victory with McIntyre looking dejected, as can be seen below.

Moose is the current TNA World Champion, a title that McIntyre held in 2016 when he worked for the company as Drew Galloway.

McIntyre, having been released by WWE in 2014, undertook a tour of the independent scene, including a successful return to Scotland’s ICW.

He would return to WWE in 2017 and recently signed a ‘multi-year, big money deal‘.
