A top star is reported to be unhappy with the current situation creatively and financially within WWE with his next deal under discussion soon.
Drew McIntyre has had high profile matches recently, including the triple threat with Gunther and Sheamus at WrestleMania 39, but Wade Keller has reported a sense of dissatisfaction in what he’s getting.
It was recently reported that McIntyre’s WWE contract is set to expire soon, with a past report suggesting “within the next nine months”.
Keller for PW Torch VIP (subscription required), stated:
“We alluded to this that there’s been talk that he is unhappy with his current situation in WWE and I’m hearing it’s kind of a mix of creative and money and what kind of offer he’s getting for a renewal.
“It sounds like WWE is taking seriously the possibility that he is going to let his deal run out rather than agree to something that he believes is less than he deserves or less than he what he thinks he has coming.”
McIntyre was recently pulled from SmackDown due to health issues, with Keller also stating that this was “in part because he is just beat up from that match and so just not having to travel and him getting a day off was sort of given to him” suggesting it came at either his request or the request of the WWE medical team.”
