Over the last few months, WWE has hosted an interactive fan segment during the commercial breaks on TV tapings of Raw and Smackdown.
The segment involves Sarah Schreiber listing several nicknames, with young members of the audience trying to guess which WWE Superstar has said nickname.
Dave Meltzer is reporting on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that the segment has actually been dropped. Meltzer notes that the company made the decision because they were worried fans would bring up two former WWE Champions:
“Yes, in fact they were trying kids out — this was early in the show — and they were telling them what to say, but I guess nobody was following the script good enough so they just didn’t do the segment at all. Yes, they were trying to fix the kids reaction segment because they don’t trust the kids to say — like maybe they’ll bring up Chris Jericho or CM Punk.”
WWE seemingly has reason to be fearful, with a fan several weeks ago stating that the “Best In The World” was actually CM Punk rather than Shane McMahon, WWE’s preferred answer.
