Former WWE Star Announces Retirement WWE

A former WWE star has announced their retirement from in-ring competition after an appearance at an independent wrestling show.

Formerly a member of the NXT UK roster, Eddie Dennis appeared at the Revolution Pro Wrestling “Revolution Rumble” show on Sunday March 26 2023.

Photos would be shared of Dennis’ boots in the middle of the wrestling ring, confirming his retirement from wrestling.

He would also suggest on social media that he has no plans to make a return from wrestling as has been seen from wrestlers previously.

Colleagues and fans from across the wrestling scene would share their thoughts on Dennis’ news, including his tag team partner and occasional rival Mark Andrews:

Dave Bradshaw would comment:

“A really important figure in the UK wrestling boom of the 2010s, an excellent wrestler, and a total gentleman too.

“Congratulations @EddieDennis1986 on a wonderful career, and enjoy your retirement!”

A number of British independent wrestling companies, including PROGRESS Wrestling and Kamikaze Pro would reflect on Dennis’ impact on the British wrestling scene.

Eddie Dennis was a co-founder of the Defend Indy Wrestling clothing brand, alongside Mark Andrews and Pete Dunne.

He retires at the age of 37 after a fifteen year career that would see him become PROGRESS Tag Team and World Champion among other titles.
