WWE Employee Jim Shank Passes Away

WWE Employee Jim Shank Passes Away WWE

It has emerged that long time WWE employee Jim Shank has passed away at the age of 60.

Shank passed away this past Friday, February 6, 2026.

He had been with WWE since 1999, and most recently held the role of Technical Operations Manager.

Shank had been battling with cancer for the past number of years.

In November, a GoFundMe raised over $220,000 for Shank to receive treatment, with a number of WWE personnel past and present making donations.

Tonight’s Raw went off the air with a graphic in tribute of Shank, stating: ‘In Loving Memory of Jim Shank, January 28, 1966  – February 6, 2026.’

On January 29, Leisa Deutsch shared the following message on the GoFundMe:

Shank turned 60! ⚡️

Yesterday was a special day — Shank’s 60th birthday.

There were moments this year when we weren’t sure we would get to celebrate this milestone, and I can’t fully express what it means to be able to say: we made it!!!

Because of you — your donations, shares, prayers, and encouragement — Jim has now completed three (of the initial Four) rounds of treatment. Every step of this journey has been possible because you helped carry us to it.

And beyond the financial support, I also want to thank you for the calls, texts, video messages, check-ins, and love you’ve poured into Jim. Those moments have lifted his spirit (and mine) more than you’ll ever know. Feeling surrounded by that kind of love has been its own kind of medicine.

His body is responding to the treatment exactly as we hoped but it is still a tough road – as are most cancer treatments – and we are working on building strength and keeping his mindset right. He has been short of breath and sleeping a lot but reads and listens to every message and the videos yesterday brought him so much joy! He can’t wait to be able to call everyone back and catch up in person! He misses you all and being on the road so much.

We still have a road ahead, but today we are pausing to celebrate life, strength, and the miracle of making it to this birthday.

I have been working as much as possible to ensure that all donations go to Jim’s treatments and other needs so I apologize my updates have not been more frequent. Will try to do better but please always feel free to reach out any time!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of Jim’s fight.

With gratitude and prayers for better days ahead!!!

We send our thoughts and condolences to Jim Shank’s family, friends, and everyone affected by his passing.
