Former WWE Name’s Contract Status Confirmed WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has revealed his current contract status after it emerged he would be in an upcoming video game.

Ahead of the WWE 2K25 release on March 14, 2025, Bischoff was named as one of the members of the roster, as can be seen below this news story courtesy of IGN FanFest.

Bischoff was asked about his current contract status in WWE following the reveal that he will be part of the video game roster.

Answering the question posed on Twitter, Bischoff revealed that he isn’t under contract with WWE in any capacity, stating:

“I receive royalties whenever WWE uses my likeness.

“It was a part of my original talent agreement and is/was standard language for talent agreements.

“I have no contract with WWE. Legends or otherwise.”

While Bischoff may not be under WWE contract, he maintains a positive relationship with the company, teasing the possibility of further appearances.

Following his appearance on the December 3, 2024, episode of WWE NXT, Bischoff noted that he wasn’t under contract.

As recently reported, WWE 2K25 will feature a number of superstars who were recently released or otherwise parted ways with the company, including Baron Corbin, Blair Davenport, Cedric Alexander, Isla Dawn, Indi Hartwell, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Sonya Deville, Tegan Nox and Paul Ellering, among others.
