Three new dates have been added to the upcoming WWE European Summer Tour, kicking off a day earlier than previously announced.
The May 29 episode of WWE SmackDown marked the first step of the European Summer Tour, which runs through to June 22 and includes Clash in Italy on May 31.
Now, it has been confirmed that three new dates have been added to the tour, with May 28 now marking the start of the run.
In a post on Twitter, it was confirmed that Liverpool, Cardiff and Birmingham have been added, with the post reading:
“🚨 Three NEW dates have been added on the WWE European Summer Tour, going through Liverpool (May 28), Cardiff (June 20) & Birmingham (June 21).
“🎟️ Tickets for Liverpool & Cardiff go On Sale this Friday, April 10, with Exclusive Presale on Thursday, April 9, both at 10 AM BST.
“🎟️ Tickets for Birmingham go On Sale April 21, Exclusive Presale on April 20.”
On a tour that finishes with WWE Raw at the O2 Arena in London, England, on June 22, the graphic for the new dates also confirms that these are the “final UK event dates” for 2026.
The Rise Of The International WWE Premium Live Event
WWE Clash in Italy marks the first time a PLE has emanated from the European country, signalling the growing international expansion of the TKO-owned company.
For the fourth time since 2022, WWE are running a Clash event, with previous iterations seeing shows in the United Kingdom (the first being Clash at the Castle in Wales, with Scotland seeing a show two years later), and Clash in Paris taking place last year.
WWE Backlash would also go international in 2023 and 2024, with Puerto Rico and France playing host, although last year’s May PLE would mark a return to the United States.
Outside of this, for the first time in its history, WrestleMania heads outside of North America in 2027, with Saudi Arabia acting as host over Riyadh Season.
Many territories have shown interest in hosting a future iteration of WrestleMania, with London mayor Sadiq Khan previously being among those voices.
London played host to WWE Money in the Bank in July 2023, marking the first time England’s capital held such an event since Insurrextion in 2002.
Hosting a WWE Premium Live Event isn’t an inexpensive proposition, with the company being well-compensated for bringing the show to town. The impact on the local economy as fans from around the world travel to see the bigger events can’t be understated, particularly in the hospitality industry.
