A former WWE star was spotted backstage at last night’s Evolution premium live event (July 13), almost two decades on from her exit from the company in 2008.
Among the names in attendance at WWE’s all women’s event was Cherry, who performed on WWE TV between 2007-2008, managing the team of Deuce ‘n Domino before embarking on her own in-ring career.
Posted to her Instagram story, Natalya shared a photo along with tag team partner Maxxine Dupri and Cherry, taken backstage at the State Farm Arena.
Cherry and Natalya previously worked together throughout 2008 on WWE television and at house show events.
Cherry’s last WWE match saw her team with Maria & Michelle McCool in a losing effort against Natalya, Maryse & Victoria on the August 5, 2008 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Dupri and Natalya, known collectively as the Dungeon Dolls, competed in the Evolution Battle Royal, with the winner of that match going on to a world championship match at Clash in Paris.
Stephanie Vaquer would be the victor in the battle royal, eliminating Lash Legend, with her opponent for the August 31 WWE PLE yet to be announced.
