WWE Star Says It’s The ‘Perfect Time’ For PLE To Return

Bayley thinks it’s time to bring back the one-off WWE Evolution PLE to showcase the current women’s roster.

WWE Evolution took place on October 28, 2018, and featured a seven-match card of women’s matches with Ronda Rousey defending the WWE Raw Women’s Championship against Nikki Bella in the main event (as can be seen below this news story).

Despite occasional comments from WWE stars hoping for a return for the PLE, there hasn’t been an solid indication it could return.

During a recent interview with Screen Rant, Bayley – who was in a six-man tag on the PLE – spoke about bringing back WWE Evolution as it is the perfect time to showcase the women’s roster, saying:

“That’s even more opportunities for (women’s wrestling) to be showcased, you know? There’s so much more to do, there are so many more goals for us, now we have two more titles we can go after. I’ve been dying for an Evolution 2, and I think now is the perfect time.”

Her enthusiasm for the prospect didn’t stop there, though, with Bayley going to suggest it could follow the two-night WrestleMania model, stating:

“Bigger than ever, we have more girls than ever. We can have a freaking back-to-back two night show if we wanted to, like WrestleMania.

“There’s so many girls, so many at NXT, we got this TNA partnership, we got two new titles. What are we doing? Let’s do it!”

The WWE and TNA Wrestling partnership was officially announced on January 16, 2025, with both companies having worked together throughout 2024.

The WWE YouTube channel recently released an unseen match from the Evolution PLE which saw Rhea Ripley defend her NXT UK Women’s Championship against Dakota Kai.
