Ronda Rousey WWE Evolution Main Event Opponent Revealed?

Ronda Rousey WWE Evolution Main Event Opponent Revealed?

Have you been wondering why the Bella Twins have magically reappeared on WWE television without reason? Well, over the weekend, Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that as of now, the main event that’s been penciled for WWE’s first-ever all women’s pay-per-view, Evolution, is Ronda Rousey vs. Nikki Bella for the RAW Women’s championship.

Meltzer states that both Nikki and Rousey are the most marketable women on the roster due to their mainstream success thus the reasoning behind the match.

The longest-reigning divas champion has become a part-time wrestler due to a herniated disk that she suffered because of the use of her torture rack finisher, The Rack Attack. Her last match was at the women’s Royal Rumble match where she was #27 and her sister Brie was #28. Both were in the final four with Asuka and Sasha Banks, in which Nikki and Brie eliminated Banks. Nikki would then eliminate, but was then eliminated by Asuka.

There’s no word on how WWE plans on getting to the match as Nikki and Rousey seemed like good friends at Summerslam and on RAW, which could most likely mean that Nikki will turn on Rousey down the line.

While this won’t be an ideal match for many fans, business wise the bout between the two mainstream powerhouses makes sense. Nikki Bella is a solid wrestler, so should the match between her and Rousey happen, it will likely end up being an entertaining one.
