AEW’s Mercedes Mone was among the stars, past and present, to react to Naomi becoming the new WWE Women’s World Champion at Evolution.
Naomi cashed in her Money in the Bank opportunity during the main event of WWE Evolution, leaving with IYO SKY’s championship.
Her victory, marking her third reign as a WWE World Champion, has seen responses from fellow members of the roster, including Charlotte Flair and Bayley, along with her former WWE tag team partner Mercedes Mone.
AEW’s Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks in WWE) reacted with a Daniel Bryan “Yes” GIF and a message that read:
“Proceed with caution ⚠️”
As Sasha Banks, the current AEW TBS Champion held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Naomi.
Bayley shared a photo on Twitter of herself alongside Naomi after WWE Evolution, which can be seen below this news story.
As can be seen in the photo, Bayley, who was unsuccessful in her bid to become Women’s Intercontinental Champion, looks happy for her fellow WWE star.
Charlotte Flair would share a post on Twitter, with the first showing Naomi victorious at WWE Evolution, as can be seen below.
Barbie Blank, known to WWE fans as Kelly Kelly, would also share her praise for Naomi in a tweet that read:
“Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. She’s been grinding, evolving, and shining for so long, and to see her finally getting everything she deserves is so emotional. She’s always been THAT woman.
“This moment is so earned, so deserved, I’m just beyond proud of u, @TheTrinity_Fatu.”
Blank revealed she had turned down an invitation to be seen in the crowd at WWE Evolution.
Naomi has been active on Twitter since her win, including taking a swipe at Rhea Ripley, sending her a message that reads:
“.@RheaRipley_WWE there’s a new Big Momma in town, me! hahhahahahhahahaha⚠️”
Saraya (formerly Paige in WWE) would also drop a tweet referencing Naomi’s victory, posting:
“I love women’s wrestling 🥹❤️
“#frenemies”
In response to this message, Naomi would send her love to the WWE Divas Champion, tweeting:
“I love you”
Saraya had recently addressed appearing at WWE Evolution, having departed from AEW earlier this year.
