WWE Star References Former Faction Amid Crossover Rumors WWE

WWE NXT star Wes Lee has referenced his former faction amid rumors about potential crossover appearances.

Wes Lee will challenge for Oba Femi’s North American Championship at the July 7 Heatwave event. If Lee is unsuccessful, he won’t be able to challenge for the gold again as long as Oba Femi is champion.

Picking up momentum ahead of this bout, Wes Lee defeated Joe Coffey in singles action on Tuesday’s (June 25) NXT episode.

During a post-show interview, Wes Lee referenced his alliance with Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz (fka Nash Carter), noting that he’s known to be a rascal:

“See, Oba Femi believes that this being my first and final opportunity at the North American Championship as long as he holds it scares me. Dawg, I’ve been facing adversity my entire life.

“The fact that I still have a chance to win my North American Championship back, that’s all I need. Heatwave, you’re gonna see a different kind of Kardiac Kid. Just know, I’m known to be a little rascal.”

Lee’s comments, along with Wentz and Miguel’s previous comments on social media, have fuelled rumors about a potential Rascalz reunion on WWE TV.

While Wentz and Miguel still wrestle together as the Rascalz in TNA Wrestling, NXT star Wes Lee (previously Desmond Xavier) was a member of the faction in its original TNA iteration.

Wentz and Lee previously wrestled together in WWE as “MSK”, however the trio of Wentz, Lee and Miguel haven’t teamed together in almost four years.

Another TNA Wrestling star has commented on the possibility of a huge WWE crossover match, which you can read more about right here.
