Former Retribution Member Reacts To New WWE Faction’s Debut WWE

A new threat has arrived in WWE NXT in the form of a faction and a former member of Retribution has reacted to their debut.

The February 15 NXT Vengeance Day show saw chaos descend with Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin making their presence felt.

The unnamed foursome attacked after Fraxiom were victorious against Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura, laying waste to both teams after Nathan Frazer and Axiom retained the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship.

That wouldn’t be their only appearance, however, with Oba Femi the subject of a beat down after he retained the NXT Championship against Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.

Footage from that incident can be seen below this news story, with Shugars and Griffin later commenting on their actions.

Donovan Dijak, himself no stranger to WWE factions having been T-Bar in Retribution, has now commented on what transpired during NXT Vengeance Day, tweeting his support and stating:

“I like their style!”

Retribution debuted in September 2020 with Mustafa Ali being revealed as their leader in October of that year.

Joining Dijak in the faction were Mace (who went on to be ma.çé and is now Mason Madden of MxM), Slapjack (Shane Haste who is currently seen in NJPW), Reckoning (Mia Yim, currently Michin in WWE) and Retaliation (who is currently Mercedes Martinez in AEW).

Haste was released from his WWE contract in November 2021 while Ali would be released by WWE in September 2023 along with Madden.

Dijak would be repackaged and returned to NXT until the 2024 WWE Draft where he would be moved to Raw, only to part ways with the company in June of that year when the company opted to not renew his contract.
