WWE/NJPW
A WWE star has addressed the possibility of a departing NJPW name joining his new faction, with rumors swirling about the potential signing.
A number of multi-generational stars have come together to form a group on NXT, with a trademark filing indicating that Lexis King, Arianna Grace, Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo, Charlie Dempsey and Uriah Connors will be collectively known as “Birthright“.
King – the son of Brian Pillman – has addressed the possibility of David Finlay joining the group, following the son of Fit Finlay seemingly bidding farewell to NJPW.
When asked on Twitter if David Finlay would be someone who the group would recruit, King replied:
As long as he likes to fight!
David Finlay is notably the brother of Uriah Connors, with the duo both being sons of Fit Finlay.
Following reports that David Finlay’s NJPW contract is up soon and that he has been exploring potential options in the US, the former IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion bowed to the fans following his loss to Callum Newman at The New Beginning in Osaka.
We will continue to provide updates on David Finlay’s status as they become available.
