Real Reason For New WWE Faction Member Revealed

The real reason why a WWE star is set to join a major faction has now been revealed, following recent events.

In the closing moments of Survivor Series, a masked assailant attacked CM Punk to allow Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar to win the men’s WarGames match.

Following reports revealing that the mystery competitor was Austin Theory, we now know why Theory is set to join forces with The Vision.

Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Paul Heyman wanted to add Austin Theory to The Vision, “largely to make him a star”, but also so he could take pins instead of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

Meltzer wrote:

“Paul Heyman had wanted to bring Theory into the Vision, largely to make him a star and to protect Breakker and Reed from having to take pins.”

Austin Theory last wrestled at the July 14 WWE Main Event taping, losing to El Grande Americano in singles action.
