WWE Files New Bray Wyatt Trademarks

It was revealed in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE has filed for the trademarks “Yowie Wowie” and “Firefly Funhouse”, relating of course to Bray Wyatt.

“Yowie Wowie” is an exclamation of surprise or excitement that Wyatt has made famous in wrestling in his Firefly Funhouse segments, to the point it’s even being chanted by fans at both WWE and non-WWE shows instead of “this is awesome”.

Bray Wyatt has issued a challenge on behalf of the Fiend for whoever the Universal Champion is come October’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

That could very well end up being Braun Strowman, speaking of whom, WWE has also applied to trademark his nickname, “Monster Among Men”.

At Clash of Champions on Sunday, Braun will be pulling double duty, as he will team with Seth Rollins to defend the Raw Tag Titles against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, but also challenge Rollins himself for the Universal Championship.

Speaking of Clash of Champions, WWE has also applied to trademark the nickname of Raw Women’s Title number one contender Sasha Banks: “Legit Boss”.

Banks challenges Becky Lynch for the title on Sunday just a few weeks since returning on August 12 after a hiatus following WrestleMania 35.

In a recent interview, Banks spoke on the match and her return:

“I’m back, I’m better than ever, and I got myself a championship match on Sunday so, I think I did quite well for myself, right? Everybody’s talking about Sasha Banks and that’s what I was born to do. I’m a star, I’m a main eventer, I’m a headliner. I’m making money and I’m making moves. Period.”
