As per the United States Patent and Trademark office (USPTO), WWE has filed to trademark a new in-ring name.

On May 5, WWE filed to trademark the term “BLAIR DAVENPORT”. According to the USPTO, this trademark will allow WWE to use the phrase for “Entertainment Services”.

Here is the full description:

Mark For: BLAIR DAVENPORT™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.

It is currently unknown who WWE plans to use this name for. It most likely will be used for a recent Performance Center recruit, however the name could be used to repackage an existing star. Such a unique name, it will be interesting to see who will be rebranded as “Davenport”.

Last month, WWE announced a class of international Performance Center recruits. Headlined by Sarray, the class also included Japanese veteran Hideki Suzuki.

WWE also filed trademarks for “ARI STERLING” and “IKEMEN JIRO“. Both Sterling and Jiro made their 205 Live debuts this week.
