WWE has filed several new trademark filings with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on September 19.
The confirmed terms trademarked were Jaida Parker, Global Localization, Out The Mud and OTM.
The Jaida Parker trademark is listed for entertainment services such as wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer.
The Jaida Parker name will be given to Performance Center recruit Tiana Caffey.
Out The Mud and OTM look to be the new name for the SCRYPTS, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price group.
The other trademarks are listed under the following description:
“Mark For: OTM™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”
A second filing for Global Localization has listed it “to cover the category of concept and brand development in the field of wrestling and sports entertainment programming content.”
At last year’s Wells Fargo TMT Summit, Stephanie McMahon used the “Global Localization” term while detailing WWE’s plans to create a “World Cup-type scenario” regarding opening Performance Centers around the world.
