If you’ve been keeping up with the news in recent months you’ll know that WWE has been busy filing trademarks on names, and that isn’t stopping.
As per the United States Patent & Trademark Office records, WWE filed for “August Grey” on November 4.
As was revealed by him changing his name on Twitter before the trademark filing actually came through, August Grey is the new name for former EVOLVE star Anthony Greene.
There was some initial confusion as NXT commentator Vic Joseph called him Austin Grey this past Wednesday but it seems that was just an error.
Prior to this, the latest filings were for a number of WCW events which Cody Rhodes had previously tried to file for after WWE surrendered the “Cody Rhodes” trademark to him.
