WWE Files To Trademark ‘As Close As It Gets’

According to the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), WWE has filed for a new trademark.

On January 6, WWE filed to trademark ‘AS CLOSE AS IT GETS’. Per the filing, WWE intends for the trademark to cover ‘entertainment services, namely, a continuing program about sports and entertainment’.

The following description accompanied the filing:

It is currently unknown what type of content this ‘continuing program’ is intended to feature. In December, WWE filed to trademark ‘WWE The Build To’, the name of a digital series used to showcase rivalries ahead of pay-per-view events.

WWE reportedly has a number of projects planned, and have reportedly been in talks with AEW about the possibility of using certain talents for biographical content.
