WWE Files Trademark For ‘Ru Feng’

According to the United States Patent & Trademark Office, WWE has filed to trademark the ring name of an NXT talent.

On October 19, WWE filed an application to trademark ‘RU FENG’. As per the USPTO, the trademark would allow WWE to use the term for ‘entertainment services’, namely wrestling exhibitions:

Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment

After signing with WWE in July, Ru Feng (Feicheng Wang) debuted on NXT TV on Tuesday’s (October 19) episode, losing to Tony D’Angelo.

NXT Halloween Havoc takes place next week, on Tuesday, October 26. Tommaso Ciampa will defend the NXT Championship on the show against Bron Breakker. Also on the episode, Mandy Rose will challenge Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Women’s Title.

A recent report has detailed the pay-per-views internally scheduled for the next few months, and appears to reveal the future of NXT TakeOver events.
