WWE Files Trademark Relating To New NXT Talent

As per the United States Patent and Trademark office (USPTO), WWE has filed for a new trademark relating to an up-and-coming NXT star.

WWE has trademarked the term “ASHER HALE”. According to the USPTO, this trademark will allow WWE to use the phrase for “Entertainment Services”, including on weekly episodes of NXT TV.

Here is the full description of the trademark:

“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment”

Previously known as Anthony Henry, Asher Hale signed with the WWE Performance Center in January. He made his NXT TV debut last night, losing to Cameron Grimes.

On this week’s episode of NXT, Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship. Next week on NXT TV, a big title match will take place. You can read more about this championship announcement here.
