WWE Files To Trademark Tag Team Name WWE

WWE has filed to trademark the team name of former Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn.

On September 6 a USPTO trademark application was filed from WWE for ‘Unholy Union’ – the team name often used for Fyre & Dawn.

At the time of writing the application is awaiting assignment to an examining attorney.

The filing description reads as follows:

Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment

Over a year after their call-up from WWE NXT to the main roster, Fyre & Dawn captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships in their home country of Scotland at June’s Clash at the Castle.

They would hold the titles for 77 days before dropping them back to former champions Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair at WWE Bash in Berlin on August 31.

Despite that setback they have since earned the right challenge for the titles once again after winning a number one contender’s match on Raw (September 2).
