Former WWE Champion Filmed For New Project During Return WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam has addressed his SmackDown appearance, revealing that he filmed more content for WWE at the taping.

The former WWE Champion was one of several wrestling veterans who were shown in the crowd during the September 13 SmackDown episode.

Speaking on his 1 Of A Kind podcast, Rob Van Dam revealed that he was only invited to the show on Wednesday (September 11).

He explained:

“How about that. RVD just pops up wherever he feels like. It’s part of being the Whole F’n Show. It was an invite that happened, not with a lot of notice at all. It was awesome to be there.

“They showed some legends in the crowd. It was cool to be part of that. Katie came because, one, she loves WWE. Two, she loves RVD. It was cool to have her by my side as well. Otherwise, I would have had my arm around Teddy Long or something.”

“It was one day notice to fly out. Wednesday, ‘Sorry about the short notice. You have to leave tomorrow. Are you available on Friday?’ I was.”

RVD revealed that he and the other wrestling veterans filmed interviews at the taping, noting:

“I did some interviews, I don’t know if it’s going to be a DVD. I think it might be a Netflix release. I’m not really sure. We all did. We all took turns doing interviews.”
