WWE Star Addresses Criticisms Of Current Finisher WWE

Bayley has addressed the reaction to changing her finish back to the one that she used during her time on the independent wrestling scene.

Early in her WWE career, Bayley’s finish was the Bayley-to-Belly suplex, something that she carried until around 2020 with a change of character.

More recently, Bayley has adopted the Rose Plant, a move that she previously used before signing with WWE in December 2012.

The Rose Plant is an arm-trap headlock driver that Bayley reintroduced to the WWE following her heel turn.

The move, however, has proved divisive among fans, with Bayley discussing the reception during an appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet.

Addressing the negative reaction, the WWE star discussed the difficulty of the move and what she thought of the Bayley-to-Belly, saying:

“Everyone hates my finish, huh? Sorry guys. It was a finish that I did on the indies. (Why do they hate it?) I don’t know.

”The setup is really hard. Sometimes I’m like trying to figure out where to put it, or how to get into it.

”I’m like, Man, this is annoying. This move sucks. But I think it’s hard to get into sometimes, but when I get smooth ways to do it, it comes out really good. But that is why I changed it, and because I thought the Bayley to belly was very gimmicky.”

During the interview, Bayley would also reveal that she has a year and a half left on her current WWE contract.

With Bayley having been removed from her WrestleMania 41 tag team match with Lyra Valkyria, Triple H has recently addressed her absence.
