With the announcement of the new World Heavyweight Championship on this week’s episode of Raw, fans have already begun speculating who could be the first to hold the new title.
The belt was positioned at ringside during the show after Triple H’s reveal, with many of Raw’s top stars interacting with the title.
Finn Balor was one person who stopped to take a ponder at the decently sized gold belt during his match with Cody Rhodes, which led to some fans pitching for him to be the first champion.
Finn took to Twitter earlier today, sharing a photoshopped image of himself holding the new World Heavyweight Championship.
The World Heavyweight Championship will feature as the top prize on whichever brand Roman Reigns is not drafted to in the 2023 WWE Draft.
The first champion will be crowned at WWE Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia on May 27.
WWE’s ‘leading candidate’ to become the first champion has reportedly been revealed, which you can read about here.
