Backstage Reaction To WWE Firing WWE

The backstage reaction to an AAA star being fired by WWE has now been revealed, following a recent fan incident.

Recent reports revealed that Nino Hamburguesa – real name Ivan Flores – was released from his AAA contract by WWE management.

This release came after a video emerged of Hamburguesa elbowing a fan who was sat in the crowd at an independent show he was performing on.

Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, talent was informed about Hambugesa’s firing on March 6, and were told to never touch fans.

It was noted that some names were unhappy with what happened and wished the outcome was different, but understood that incidents like that can’t happen under WWE.

Meltzer wrote:

Talent was told about this on 3/6 and to never touch a fan. There has been talent that has done this at other shows, although we were told that it’s usually based on something far more serious, usually a fan attacking or being threatening and not just somebody laughing at them for slipping. But since it never went public nothing ever transpired from those incidents.

Flores was very popular with the talent who were unhappy that it happened and wished the outcome was different, but also understood that while if it was the old AAA, it would be just considered under the shit happens category, with WWE owning, you can’t be doing stuff like that.
