WWE Star’s First TV Match In Over A Year Confirmed WWE

The May 20 episode of WWE Raw saw Braun Strowman come very close to getting his hands on Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh.

During the WWE World Tag Team Championship match between The Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth) and Judgment Day (Finn Balor & JD McDonagh), Strowman appeared and chased McDonagh around the ring, as can be seen below this news story.

McDonagh had previously warned Strowman to stay out of Judgment Day’s business, which wasn’t the best of things to do, it would transpire.

After a year away from the ring, Strowman is now set to have his televised in-ring return on the May 27 episode of WWE Raw with McDonagh facing him.

Speaking to WWE Raw Talk, Strowman made his plans for McDonagh very clear, saying:

“I’m gonna set him up on my shelf with the rest of my Funk Pop collection.”

McDonagh, confident as ever, has responded to Strowman’s threat, stating:

“All I’m seeing is a big, overgrown, blown-up loser with a Funko Pop collection???

“Put me next to your DnD stuff you dork. Enjoy your last week with working knees. 🌲🪓”

This isn’t the first time McDonagh has gone for a chopping down a tree theme to his tweets about Strowman.

Strowman’s last televised match was on the May 1, 2023 episode of WWE Raw where he teamed with Ricochet to take on Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Otis).

His first match back was a dark match on May 10, 2024 where he defeated Shinsuke Nakamura.

After the dark match at WWE SmackDown, Strowman commented that “it felt good to be back out there.”

Strowman’s absence saw him undergo neck surgery with his on-screen return being on Night 2 of the WWE Draft on April 29, 2024.
