Former WWE Star Confirmed For AEW Appearance

A former WWE United States and Hardcore Champion has been confirmed for AEW and ROH appearances in May 2025.

AEW heads to Detroit on May 7 and 8, with AEW Dynamite taking place at the Masonic Temple Theatre.

Not only will fans get Dynamite action, but there’ll also be the ROH tapings and AEW Collision taking place over the two nights.

It was also confirmed that former ECW World Heavyweight Champion “The Man Beast” Rhino will also be appearing live on both nights.

The announcement was made in a tweet on the official AEW account, confirming his appearance and reading:

Plans for the former WWE star in his AEW debut have yet to be revealed outside of the confirmation he’s appearing live.

Currently scheduled for Dynamite on May 7 are Samoa Joe vs. Claudio Castagnoli, and The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson) & Ricochet vs. Swerve Strickland, Mike Bailey, & Mark Briscoe.

Owen Hart Foundation Memorial Cup Tournament finalist Jamie Hayter will also have a sit-down interview with Renee Paquette.

In December 2024, Rhino confirmed he had parted ways with TNA Wrestling after five years.

A former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Rhino was inducted into the TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2024.
