Former WWE Star Joins AEW Tag Team

Former WWE Star Joins AEW Tag Team WWE/AEW

A former WWE star has popped up in a new video with an AEW tag team, seemingly forming a new group with the pair.

Resurrecting a part of his past character, former WWE star Elias – now known as Elijah – has appeared in a new vignette alongside an AEW/ROH duo.

Joining up with The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) in the video, the call to action for fans has morphed from ‘Walk with Elias’ to ‘Run with The Righteous’.

You can see the entire clip below.

Elias/Elijah was released from his WWE contract in September 2023 after having spent nine years with the company, including six on the main roster.

The Righteous continue to appear regularly in ROH and as well as being signed to AEW.

They were most recently in AEW televised action in September 2024 as part of an AEW World Tag Team Championship #1 contendership Casino Gauntlet match won by Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher.

In ROH, they were unsuccessful in a bid for the ROH Tag Team Championship at Final Battle against champions Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara.

Elijah for his part most recently competed against Tommy Billington on the Jericho Cruise, also attended by the Righteous.
