A WWE General Manager has reacted to a current star’s spouse who has voiced a complaint about a ‘unsafe work environment’.
While Matt Cardona has not featured in WWE for several years, he still has thoughts on the current working conditions for talent.
Namely, his real life wife Chelsea Green.
After being defeated in a ‘Dumpster Match’ against Michin in the previous week, Green was back in the hunt on this week’s SmackDown (October 11), despite the on-going joke that now she is smelly.
Sharing a clip of Chelsea Green being kicked over the commentary desk by Lash Legend into the announcers who complained about the smell, Cardona wrote:
“Unsafe working environment!”
To which SmackDown GM Nick Aldis reacted:
“Don’t start…”
Aldis is no stranger to having a real-life spouse in professional wrestling as his wife Mickie James was recently featured in the crowd at WWE Bad Blood.
Matt Cardona continues to appear throughout independent wrestling with notable recent appearances in GCW as well as TNA.
Green continues to team with Piper Niven as the duo eye recapturing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
The current champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair retained their title in a match on SmackDown against NXT’s Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson.
