Former WWE Tag Team Champion Grayson Waller has teased a character change with plans for A-Town Down Under to be “at the top of the card.”
Waller and Austin Theory won the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 40 with the titles later being renamed.
Their championship reign would be cut short by #DIY on July 5 with Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa beating A-Town Down Under, as can be seen below this news story.
In an interview with Australia’s The West Sport, Waller set out his plans for the year, saying:
“I think people are going to be reminded of who Grayson Waller is in 2025.
“I think that, you know, the last few months, me and Theory – maybe we took our eye off the ball, and, uh, maybe we were too focused on being entertaining and we weren’t thinking enough about being dangerous.
“We look at the top of the card, and we see the guys who are there, and we know those are our spots.
“It’s a situation of no one’s going to hand them to us; we’ve got to take them.”
#DIY continue to be WWE Tag Team Champions at the time of writing and are in their second reign.
The WWE Tag Team Championship marked Waller’s first title win with the company having signed in March 2021.
Signing in August 2019, Theory has had more success in WWE having also been a tw0-time WWE United States Champion.
