Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Kalisto
Kalisto won the honor to face Cedric at GRR in a gauntlet match on this week’s 205 Live, overcoming Tony Nese, Drew Gulak, Mustafa Ali and TJP in the process.
Alexander won the belt at WrestleMania 34, defeating Mustafa Ali, and it would seem pretty anti-climactic to have him drop the title here.
Furthermore, Kalisto’s previous run as champion was incredibly underwhelming, so putting the belt on the Luchador would seem an unusual move.
Cedric is one of the most popular men in the cruiserweight division, and a lengthy spell with the belt could be a catalyst for the show as a whole.
