WWE Shares Footage From GUNTHER Vs Ilja Dragunov Non-Televised Match

WWE has now shared a highlight video from this past weekend’s house show match between Ilja Dragunov and World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER.

Following Dragunov and GUNTHER’s incredible matches against each other on NXT and NXT UK, many fans were calling for the duo to face off at the Bash In Berlin premium live event.

While this match won’t be happening on August 31, fans were treated to this dream rematch at the Rotterdam, Netherlands WWE house show on Sunday (August 25).

WWE has now shared a video of the “greatest hits” from this match, which you can watch below.

As expected, the bout was extremely hard-hitting, with GUNTHER and Dragunov trading huge strikes.

GUNTHER was ultimately victorious, winning the untelevised rubber match.

The duo first faced off in WWE singles action during the October 29, 2020 edition of NXT UK, with GUNTHER defeating Dragunov to retain his NXT UK Championship in a match which WWE officially named the eighth best match of that year, over numerous main roster matches.

The rematch took place at NXT TakeOver 36 on August 22, 2021, with Ilja Dragunov forcing GUNTHER to submit to end his 870 day reign as NXT UK Champion.
