A top international star has admitted they would “love” to face off with WWE star GUNTHER.
Whilst out in Japan for WWE’s recent tour in the country last week, GUNTHER spoke with Abema Wrestling revealing his love for Japanese wrestling and personal dreams of competing in the country.
This caught the attention of Japanese legend and Pro Wrestling NOAH star Naomichi Marafuji, who responded via Twitter to admit that he’d love for either he or fellow NOAH star Go Shiozaki to get a future match with The Ring General.
Marafuji tweeted:
I’d love to go chop-to-chop with him.
But I also want to see him vs Shiozaki.
Thank You @Gunther_AUT
WWE’s willingness to work with other companies like NOAH has made many dream matches such as Marafuji vs. GUNTHER seem more possible than ever.
An example of which was Marafuji’s recent bout faced off with AJ Styles, with the former WWE Champion defeating the veteran star at NOAH’s Destination event on July 13.
While it remains to be seen whether GUNTHER will compete against Marafuji, his immediate future sees him set to challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE SummerSlam in Cleveland, OH.
