Both GUNTHER & Sheamus Speak Out Against Three-Way For IC Title At WrestleMania 39

Both GUNTHER & Sheamus Speak Out Against Three-Way For IC Title At WrestleMania 39 WWE

Neither GUNTHER nor Sheamus want to see the Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania 39 to be the speculated three-way.

After the unusual finish to the opening match of SmackDown left Adam Pearce with confusion over GUNTHER’s WrestleMania 39 opponent, GUNTHER found him backstage to speak his mind.

Telling Pearce that he knows that English isn’t his native language however challenger is singular and he wasn’t looking for challengers, plural.

Speaking out on Twitter, Sheamus also apparently is not in favor of a three-man compromise, writing some choice words for Drew McIntyre.

Sheamus tweeting:

“For once i agree with Gunther. The challenger for the #ICTitle is singular.. it’s time to send this grave-robbing bastard back to scotland. #smackdown”

By the end of the backstage segment and under the glare of Imperium, Adam Pearce revealed that next week on SmackDown, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus would compete in match against each other to determine who would join the match.

Elsewhere on tonight’s (March 10) SmackDown, Charlotte Flair took on Shotzi in a thunderous match as Flair’s WrestleMania 39 opponent Rhea Ripley looked on.
