WWE/AEW
There’s been an update on the chances of WWE Hall of Famer Wendi Richter appearing in AEW after Toni Storm’s recent references.
Storm had previously said she was going to “f**k up” Wendi Richter during the post-show media scrum at AEW Worlds End.
The AEW Women’s Champion would go on to lay out the challenge to Richter again with the same threat.
Richter has since responded to the offer saying that “money does talk” and that she is “not afraid” of Storm.
Fightful Select has an update on the possibility of Storm vs Richter in AEW, reporting that the two-time WWF Women’s Champion is under a WWE Legends contract.
According to the report, Richter “was actually considered for an appearance” in AEW with it being discovered to be “unlikely” due to her WWE Legends contract.
The report also suggests that, with the deal in the way of a likely appearance, Storm may stop referencing Richter in the future.
Wendi Richter was inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2010.
