We’ve previously covered that the WWE Hall of Fame next year is going to see all of the people who were set for last year’s class inducted this time around. The same report noted that the ceremony is expected to be virtual.
However, it’s unclear whether or not any new names are going to be added to that list, but a new report has indicated that The Undertaker won’t be one of those people added to the 2021 class.
WrestlingNews.co is reporting that Vince McMahon doesn’t want to see The Undertaker inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame without fans, which likely rules out an induction in April 2021.
The Undertaker retired in front of the WWE ThunderDome at Survivor Series this year, so WWE higher-ups don’t want “The Deadman’s” final send off to be in front of no fans.
This means that we are likely going to have to wait until 2022 over WrestleMania 38 weekend to see The Undertaker inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, a class that he will almost certainly headline.
A lot of this depends on whether or not fans are able to attend WrestleMania and the surrounding events that year, so in the case that the situation changes and a full crowd is allowed back, this situation could also change.
