A WWE Hall of Famer has questioned the change of heart that saw an NXT star go from ending a friendship to embracing in the space of a show.
With Sol Ruca winning a championship opportunity on last week’s episode of WWE NXT, Zaria made it clear that their friendship was at an end.
The NXT Women’s Title #1 contender’s match was actually a tag team match with whoever scored the pin becoming #1 contender, so although Ruca and Zaria teamed together to win, it was Ruca who won the title shot because she scored the fall.
That led to Zaria angrily confronting her last night and stating that they were done as a duo.
However, later in the show, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne and the rest of Fatal Influence attacked Ruca three-on-one, with Zaria coming out to save Ruca.
Ruca and Zaria would end up hugging it out, something that Bubba Ray Dudley would question on Busted Open Radio, stating:
“It looks like ZaRuca is still a thing. I really like the story with Fatal Influence, Sol and Zaria.
“I still think Zaria is going to wind up stabbing Sol in the back.
“I think tonight was… you know, when friends break up it’s not always like ‘boom, done. We’re done. Goodbye.’
“Sometimes people have a change of heart, and tonight we saw Zaria have a change of heart. But, Zaria is obviously brutally jealous of Sol. A lot of people are jealous of Sol.”

Jayne vs Ruca for the NXT Women’s Championship takes place on next week’s episode of NXT.
Sol Ruca is a former NXT Women’s North American Champion and has held the WWE Women’s Speed Championship.
She faced Bayley at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 of last year, defeating the main roster star.
Ruca also entered the Royal Rumble this year and made it to the final three along with runner-up Tiffany Stratton and winner Liv Morgan.
