WrestleMania Angle Planned For WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony? WWE

A new hint has emerged on a potential storyline angle that could take place at the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.

Ahead of WrestleMania 39, several wrestling veterans will be inducted into the Hall of Fame as part on March 31.

WWE has confirmed that current SmackDown star Rey Mysterio will be part of the class of 2023.

Rey is currently ‘feuding’ with his son Dominik Mysterio. Following months of tormenting his father, Dominik has now challenged Rey to a match at WrestleMania, which Rey has been reluctant to accept.

There has been some speculation that one final angle involving Rey Mysterio and Dominik will take place at the Hall of Fame ceremony, ahead of a WrestleMania showdown.

These rumors have now been acknowledged by WWE commentator Corey Graves, who has asked Dominik to leave his father alone on March 31.

On After The Bell, Graves pleaded:

“I am pleading publicly with Dominik Mysterio to let the Hall of Fame go off as planned.

“The logical conclusion is a fight. I am asking Dominik publicly on behalf of all us fans who love this business, who love WWE, who love Rey Mysterio on a fandom level or a personal level, let it be.”

Some have theorised that at the Hall of Fame ceremony, the Rey vs Dominik match will become a luchas de apuestas bout, with Rey wagering his mask or career to stop his son.

It has been reported that Konnan will induct Rey Mysterio into the Hall of Fame, at the request of Mysterio.

Japanese wrestling legend the Great Muta will also receive his Hall of Fame ring at this year’s event.
