A WWE Hall of Famer has revealed that they were approached about making a movie on Jake Roberts.
Diamond Dallas Page and Jake Roberts have been linked throughout their careers with most fans praising the positive impact DDP has had on the betterment of Roberts following years of addiction.
In 2014, a documentary was made documenting Roberts’ recovery alongside DDP. The WWE Hall of Famer has revealed that he has been approached about turning that recovery into a movie.
In a new interview with Tyler Treese for ComingSoon.net, Page revealed he is indeed working on a scripted version of Jake’s story. DDP said:
“If anybody has ever seen The Resurrection of Jake the Snake, in 2014, we released that. That’s a documentary that’s [got] a lot of power to it.”
“Recently, I’ve been approached about making that a movie — a scripted movie that’ll end up on a big screen, and they love the story. So that’s something I’m super excited about.”
As previously reported, Diamond Dallas Page has also commented on the potential of an official last match.
