WWE Hall Of Famer Bob Uecker Passes Away At 90 WWE

WWE Hall of Famer and baseball legend Bob Uecker has passed away at the age of 90.

On Thursday, January 16 the Milwaukee Brewers announced the news of Uecker’s passing via their official Twitter account.

The announcement read:

We are heartbroken to announce that Brewers icon & Baseball Hall of Famer Bob Uecker passed away today at the age of 90

Uecker, known by many as ‘Mr. Baseball’, followed a six-year playing career with over 50 years of play-by-play announcing for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Wrestling fans will remember Uecker as a special guest ring announcer at WrestleMania 3 for the WWE Championship match between Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant.

Uecker returned one year later for a role as a backstage interviewer, participating in one of the most replayed moments in WrestleMania history as he got his neck rung by Andre The Giant.

Over two decades later Uecker was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a part of the 2010 class.

Following the news of Uecker’s passing, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H would pay tribute via Twitter, writing:

One of the most entertaining voices ever…and an even better person.

Rest in peace to a @WWE Legend, Hall of Famer, and great friend.

WrestleTalk extends our condolences to Uecker’s family, friends and fans at this time.
