A WWE Hall of Famer has taken to Twitter to clarify his status after reports that WWE had released him from his backstage position.
It was reported last night that Gerald Brisco had been let go by the company as part of the releases on April 15.
However, Brisco has since tweeted:
What a writer made a mistake, to set things right. I have not been let go yet I’ve been placed on furlough don’t know who leaked the wrong news. I hope get back to helping young folks find there dream. If not it been on heck of a run #cantkeepawrestlerdown
As he says, he has not been released, but in fact furloughed like a number of the producers and backstage personnel were.
WrestleTalk.com will continue to update on any news regarding names being released or furloughed by WWE as it comes to light.
