A WWE Hall of Famer has compared Action Andretti’s win over Chris Jericho on AEW Dynamite to his own upset win.
On the December 14 Winter Is Coming edition of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho looked to get back on track after losing the ROH World Championship to Claudio Castagnoli at Final Battle 2022. Jericho went one-on-one with Action Andretti and to the shock of everyone, lost to a huge ovation from the crowd.
Many fans quickly compared the moment to 1-2-3 Kid’s upset victory over Razor Ramon nearly 30 years ago on WWE Raw.
Comparing his win to Andretti’s, “X-Pac” Sean Waltman posted on Twitter and noted the difference between the two upsets. Waltman tweeted:
“I just got the s*** beat out of me by Scott, before he charged the corner, I moved & hit the moonsault body block. I got zero offense in before that. Chris had a competitive match with Andretti before putting him over.”
Tony Khan followed the huge win by announcing that Action Andretti had officially been signed to All Elite Wrestling.
As previously reported, backstage details on when Chris Jericho saw a star in Action Andretti have been revealed.
