It was announced this past week that Beth Phoenix would be coming out of retirement to team with Natalya against The IIconics, Nia Jax & Tamina and Sasha Banks & Bayley. The match would be for Banks and Bayley’s WWE Tag Team Championships.
However, WWE has taken to their Twitter to announce that the WWE Hall of Famer will be having her first match since 2012, with the exception of an appearance in the 2018 Women’s Royal Rumble match, on the go-home episode of Raw. Beth and Natalya will be teaming with Sasha Banks and Bayley to take on The IIconics, Nia Jax and Tamina in eight-woman tag team action on the final stop before the “show of shows”.
This Monday, former #WomensChampion @TheBethPhoenix will compete in her first match on #RAW in over 6 years when she teams with @NatbyNature @SashaBanksWWE & @itsBayleyWWE against @PeytonRoyceWWE @BillieKayWWE @TaminaSnuka & @NiaJaxWWE! https://t.co/f2PhcBE94t

This will be Beth’s first match on Raw since October 2012, where she successfully defeated former Divas Champion AJ Lee. Beth has been training hard for her big return to the ring, and The Revival shared a picture on Twitter where they were working with Natalya and Beth, and one other notable name ahead of their match on April 7th.

This announcement came mere hours after WWE revealed that Batista will once again be on Raw on Monday night to address his opponent for WrestleMania 35, Triple H. The former Evolution stablemates are set to do battle in a No Holds Barred match, where Triple H will have to retire if he is defeated by “The Animal”.
