# WWE Hall Of Famer Confirms Signing New Legends Contract In January

A WWE Hall of Famer has confirmed to WrestleTalk that they signed a new legends contract with the company in January.

In recent years, WWE has been making overtures to a number of former stars throughout its history, offering legends contracts to a number of legendary former stars throughout the company’s history.

One of those names is WWE Hall of Famer ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan, with him noting back in February that he had signed a legend’s contract with the company.

[Speaking to WrestleTalk’s Connel Rumsey](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fx5Ag3ZVRG4) ([via ToonieBet](https://tooniebet.ca/ca/)), Duggan confirmed that he signed his new deal with the company in January, his first time being under a legend’s contract with the company in 15 years.

He said:

*“I just recently re-signed with the WWE in January, I hadn’t been on one in probably 15 years, but I finally, because I own my name, a lot of guys don’t own their own name.*

*“Back in the WWF, if Vince McMahon created your name like Big Boss Man, or Brutus ‘The Barber’ Beefcake, you left that territory, you couldn’t use that name, but myself and Macho Man we trademarked our name years ago.”*

When asked if he was still up to date with modern wrestling, he noted that he was recently brought in for a Saturday Night’s Main Event show, as well as for the 10-bell salute for Hulk Hogan in July.

He added:

*“Not too much. They had us back for a Saturday Night’s Main Event, and then they brought me in for the 10 beller for Hulkster, but I joke, you know after 40 years the last thing I wanna watch when I’m home is wrestling. That’d be like a cop watching Cops.”*

Duggan appeared at the Saturday Night’s Main Event show on January 25.
