The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes’ WWE return back at WrestleMania 38 as the mystery opponent of Seth Rollins was one of the biggest wrestling stories of the year.
Cody went on a two month WWE run, culminating with him scoring a victory over Rollins inside Hell In A Cell with a torn pectoral muscle, before leaving to recover from his injury.
Cody made one appearance on WWE TV since he left, an interview from the Nightmare Factory ahead of Money In The Bank, but other than that he has been off television since June.
WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley shared a photo on his Twitter account today of him and Cody hanging out in Foley’s car, noting that they were swapping iconic Hell In A Cell stories, and reminiscing about Cody’s father Dusty Rhodes.
Foley tweeted:
JUST HANGING OUT!
I really enjoyed catching up with @CodyRhodes – swapping #HIAC stories, and reminiscing about The Dream!
WWE announced after Cody’s injury that he would be out of action for 6-9 months, with many predicting him to return in the 2023 Royal Rumble match,
