According to the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, former World Heavyweight Champion Booker T has pulled out of a scheduled appearance at AEW’s All Out show which is set to take place at the end of next month.
It is believed that the two-time WWE Hall of Famer pulled of the appearance after realising just how serious the battle between WWE and AEW really is. Booker reportedly does not want to be stuck in the middle of the war between the two companies.
Meltzer had the following to say on the matter:
“Booker T, after agreeing to come, has pulled out of All Out. He evidently said when pulling out that he found out the WWE vs. AEW war was very real and he didn’t want to be in the middle of it. I’ve been told to expect another major counter by WWE shortly.”
This comes after another two-time WWE Hall of Famer in Bret “The Hitman” Hart made an appearance at AEW’s first show, Double or Nothing. Hart was on the show to unveil the AEW World Championship.
While no specifics were given, Meltzer’s report also stated that we should “expect another major counter by WWE shortly.” WrestleTalk will provide more information on the matter if and when it becomes available.
