It is with a heavy heart that we have to report WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner was kidnapped on last night’s episode of NXT 2.0. Thankfully this is wrestling, so it’s with a light heart that he have to report that he’s probably having a warm bath or something right now.
On last night’s (April 5) show, Joe Gacy and Harland abducted Steiner, father of NXT Champion Bron Breakker, presumably to set up a feud for the belt.
In the main event of the show, Breakker managed to defeat Gunther (WALTER), but after the bell, Gacy and Harland appeared on the big screen to reveal Rick was behind them in a giant cage. Shark cage match, anyone?

Presumably this is the start of a heated feud between Breakker and Gacy, which will ultimately end up with some kind of match to ensure Steiner’s safety. There have been rumours that Breakker is heading to the main roster in the near future, but you would assume he’ll try and rescue his dad first.
